More generally, Europe's logistical sector is now in decline, faced with competition
from South-East Asia where stakeholders are taking advantage of the remarkable

Given this situation, how could regional and local authorities encourage the development of efficient Costal Europe, safe maritime transport in Europe , on their own scale and in a manner that complements the
work of other players ?
Towards Competitive, Safe Maritime Transport as a Driving Force for Regional Development This is
the main topic of consideration for this group chaired by José Viegas, an expert
